Railroad Escapade

By Yvonne Waluvengo - February 28, 2015

Indeed, fashion does repeat itself. I remember when I was about seven years old seeing young women wear crop tops, back then guys referred to them as "tumbo cuts" haha! It's amazing that once again, crop tops are a huge trend!!!

Well today, I decided to take inspiration from the past. I paired my mom jeans, which I now consider a closet staple, with one of my favorite crop tops and... Because I currently live in Nairobi, Kenya and a few people here find it hard to understand that "my dressing is my choice" I thought it wise to include in my outfit this really cool, colorful Aztec print bomber jacket, to help cover up when in public places... Also, to avoid all the stares I would definitely get due to exposing my midriff area.

Hmph! Can't a sister just wear whatever she wants?? Come on! Lol!

    1. It really sucks! The irony of it all is that in ancient Africa some communities didn't even wear any freaking clothes!!! Now we're all big on decency when it comes to dressing... I think we're free but our minds are still colonized hahaha! Thanks for dropping in Chidinma :-)
