Kimono Chronicles {Part I}

By Yvonne Waluvengo - June 21, 2015

I'm I the only one in complete and utter disbelief that it's 21st June already?

Where is 2015 going? Seriously, were like 10 minutes away from Christmas haha! Since the year is speeding by, let me hurry up and get on with this post before I hit "publish" and realize it's December.

Today I am so very excited to share with you part one of my first blog series, which will be running on the blog till early July.
As the title betrays, the focus will be on -the kimono- which in my opinion should be in every lady's closet. It's a simple yet fabulous piece which never disappoints in adding an extra oomph to a casual outfit. I really like the fact that it's incredibly versatile, I mean, there are endless possibilities with the kimono.

I'll be styling this closet staple in six different ways with each look having a casual and fun feel to it. I need you to take a second and think of an outfit you would wear on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday... Now incoporate a kimono in there. Weekend vibes anyone? Yes please!

Look One: Heat Of The White

An all white outfit is like a blank canvas and using it as a backdrop you have the freedom to come up with a myriad of ensembles. Remember this post? I mentioned in it that I would try out the all white clothing trend again, so here goes. You could rock this look when going out on a sunny weekend, maybe for brunch? Lunch? A fun date at the park or the beach. It could also work for church? It's a pretty decent and cute look for church, so yeah.

Kimono - New Look ||  Vest - Old {Similar Here and Here}||  Bag - Toi Market ||  Jeggings - Forever 21 ||  Neckpiece - Gift ||  Rings- Random Store ||  Sandals - My cousin's, but they're mine now

I want to take this opportunity to wish a Happy Father's Day to my dad all the dads out there who are trying, loving their families and putting their best foot forward, you are highly appreciated.

Love & Light

Xx.
