This is what happens when you watch the eigth episode of Empire {SS1}... You just wanna wear white!!!

If you haven't watched Empire yet, fix it! Ha! It's a pretty amazing show, I promise, Cookie will give you life!

I've always loved the all white clothing trend, I think it's uber chic and when I took on the trend last weekend, I couldn't get enough of the effortless clean and crisp vibe it kept giving off. I played it safe with my outfit, by simply wearing basic white jeggings and a white shirt, I chose not to accessorize too much, but somewhere along the shoot Kevin handed me his watch to add some swag to my look haha! I'm really glad I tried out this trend, wouldn't mind doing it again.

Oh! Excuse how my hair looks in the pictures, I swear it looked perfect before I stepped out of the house. Windy day it was!

Do any of you have this App, "Hair Journal" on your phones? If you do, great!!!

Let me tell you a little something about the App that led me to download it on my phone and that will most probably convince you to do the same. Hair Journal is an App that allows users input their favorite hair products, upload images of their hair and hairstyles, track length checks on a calendar and even set goals based on hair length or health. The best part of the App is its customizable homepage, where you can indicate whether you have relaxed, texlaxed, texturized, transitioning, natural or loc’ed hair.

It's free by the way! On IOS or Android. It's freaking awesome, sort of like Instagram for hair, only better.

I'm sharing my "length check"today because I badly want to track my hair progress this year and hopefully retain major length, I've decided to quit any server experimentation with my hair, for now till I reach my hair length goal {bra-strap length} I'm going to pay close attention to my hair and basically stick to low manipulation, moisturizing and deep conditioning.

I know of three ways to do a length check, one is where you use a length check shirt, another is where you use comparison shots and the final one, you simply measure using a tape measure.

I chose the latter, straightened my hair using a blow dryer because shrinkage and found that my hair is currently six inches long, somewhere between collar bone length and shoulder length.

 See, I'm no product junkie! Ha!

I wish I had the time and energy to write full reviews of the products I have displayed above, I'm pretty fatigued than usual, I guess because I donated blood today at campus, I just want to sleep... Sweet sleep is calling. I'll do a review of the products in a future post.

Indeed, fashion does repeat itself. I remember when I was about seven years old seeing young women wear crop tops, back then guys referred to them as "tumbo cuts" haha! It's amazing that once again, crop tops are a huge trend!!!

Well today, I decided to take inspiration from the past. I paired my mom jeans, which I now consider a closet staple, with one of my favorite crop tops and... Because I currently live in Nairobi, Kenya and a few people here find it hard to understand that "my dressing is my choice" I thought it wise to include in my outfit this really cool, colorful Aztec print bomber jacket, to help cover up when in public places... Also, to avoid all the stares I would definitely get due to exposing my midriff area.

Hmph! Can't a sister just wear whatever she wants?? Come on! Lol!

I went for a simple grunge look last weekend and really liked the fact that I didn't put too much thought into creating the ensemble.

There are days when as a naturalista I have zero, nada ideas on what to do with my hair, so I basically finger comb it and let the fro be all wild.

I've been doing yoga lately!!! Freaking love that shit! I'll put up pictures here of a few of my favorite poses or as yogi's call it "asanas" very soon.
