Whenever I'm free, that of course is on weekends, there are a few things I like to do {not particularly in this order} :-

1. Stroll in town or different neighborhoods

2.Visit an awesome local restaurant

3. Go swimming

4. Take photographs

5. Climb to a high point and basically enjoy the view

I've been in Nakuru for little over 3 weeks now, but due to work and weekends that end so fast, the next thing you know Monday is in my face! Asking, "did you miss me?" Ha!... I digress, my point here is, I don't really get a good chance to explore this lovely small town the way I wish to.

Last Sunday, as soon as the usual afternoon showers subsided, I went out for an evening walk. As I was out and about I decided to pay "Top Cliff Lodge" a visit. The lodge is set on top of a hill, thus the name I suppose and is along the Nakuru-Nairobi highway. I should mention, it's actually a place I pass by everyday as I head to work, therefore I've always been curious to know how it's like. I didn't know what to expect, so it was all pretty exciting for me as I walked towards the lodge

I can honestly and without a doubt say that Top Cliff Lodge is my first and best destination so far in Nakuru. At the lodge, I found my happy place, so much so, I want it to be my signature hangout. What I love most about this place is the view of Lake Nakuru from it's restaurant's deck, simply amazing! As much as these pictures I took do the place little justice, I'll let them do some talking :-)

I don't know if you'll ever visit this place, but if you do, I assure you, you will not be disappointed by the tranquility and great customer service you will receive, also, if you're coming off a whirlwind tour of Nakuru, Top Cliff Lodge is a perfect place to catch your breath.

You notice I've added a "Travel" tab to the blog. I would love to share with you more of my little adventures whenever I come across nice places and things to do in future. I am also saving up for a DSLR camera, it wouldn't hurt to have clearer images on this corner of the internet.

For the two decades plus a year and some months I've lived on earth, It has finally donned on me that I've been taking weekends for granted. The day I wore this I was in a "closet full of clothing, nothing to wear" situation, but then I spotted my trusty 'ol rugged skinny jeans and paired it up this chambray shirt, which is actually for men, throwed my pink babies in the mix and voila! Problem solved!

 If you follow me on Instagram you know that I posted a sneak peak of what I have on today and said I'd be sharing on how to style that shirt you stole/borrowed-forever from your boyfriend ha! Is it just me or do you ladies also fancy wearing men's clothes? You realize, they happen to be absolutely comfy and though they don't exactly fit or flatter our frames, when worn right, they can turn out to be real sexy, even chic.

I'm yet to find a denim shirt that makes me happy, for now though, this chambray number works for me.

Feels like it's been forever... Ugh! I missed this!!! And of course I missed you, my dear reader!

Ooooh my God! How have you been? How is the new/not so new month going for you?

Personally, I'm doing good. Well, honestly, I'm itching to vent haha! I badly want to share every detail of my life lately, how the corporate world is treating me, my experience in Nakuru so far... But I'm going to spare that for another day. I should probably schedule a "rambling post" to put up in the near future, I don't know.

It's true what they say, good things come in small packages! I'm absolutely in love with Maybelline New York's "Baby Lips"!!! Hence reviewing it today.

I've always been the type of girl who basically slathers Vaseline on her lips every hour to keep them moisturized, but ever since I started using Baby Lips I go for hours, technically up to the 8 hours as indicated on the package without feeling the need to reapply the lipbalm.

Without further ado...

The Review! 

I love the packaging!!! Besides being all cute, fun, colorful and so happy! I believe it's practical and provides enough information needed about the product.

Yasssss! It's scent is heavenly you guys!!! The subtle, but juicy cherry scent it has always makes me want to literally eat the lipbalm as I apply it on my lips! Thank God I'm not crazy enough to take a bite of the poor little product haha!

For a product so amazing, it's pretty cheap. It retails at Kshs. 270. I bought mine at Kshs. 290 though, here in Nakuru at "Nakuru Cosmetics Centre" which is next to Avenue Suites, Kenyatta Avenue. You can shop for this product on-line if you're in Kenya at Jumia.

"Cherry Me" is one of the many flavours of Baby Lips, it's said to be the most pigmented. As you can see it's a pink/rosy red tinted lip balm. I really like the fact that, unlike other lipbalms, it leaves a noticeable wash of glossy color {note: Wash will looks different from lip to lip}.

I've done a little research and found out that in Kenya, we only have two flavours, "Cherry Me" and "Hydrate". I hope our cosmetic shops will stock the others soon, because there are some flavours I wouldn't mind sampling.

It's quite soft despite being in bullet form and glides over lips perfectly. For hydration, I totally agree with what is said on the package. Of all the lipbalms I've used, I find it the most easy and comfortable to wear. It contains moisturising ingredients such as shea butter and honey, score!!!

My verdict, I think this product totally lives up to it's hype and I'm going to buy it over and over... And over again.

I'm having... Pretty much the lamest weekend in history... Napping, stuffing my face with anything and everything edible, naaaapping and laughing!!! Laughing for no apparent reason, for the sake of it and oh! Sometimes simultaneously with the "laugh track" in one very funny comedy series I'm currently watching. Get this, I was done watching 6 episodes of "Cristela" last night, before I slept... Lord! If only people were getting paid for binge watching, I'd be rich y'all, stinking! I'm talking Forbes and all.

Yesterday was my brothers birthday, a great opportunity for me to take a break from being lazy and dress up! We had a happy, modest celebration to honor his growing a year older and dumber, It was lot's of fun and as much as I love to hate my brother {the feeling is mutual, trust me} it melted my heart to see him smile and have a good time.

You can never go wrong with a jumpsuit. No matter the occasion, there’s always a look you can pull off by wearing one! I created a very simple ensemble. The way I see it, a jumpsuit is a statement in itself, so I went easy with accessorizing by only wearing teal earrings and a few rings.
