I am no boy scout
Nevertheless
I am always prepared
Prepared for the worst
You taught me that
To have pessimism in place of faith
To look for ghostly silhouettes on lit walls
To doubt my fortune
Before my birth I was prepared
To be deprived of my right
To go back to my creator
Before I am fully created
When I was born I was prepared
To spend a night in a litter bin
To be raised by hands of a different womb
To call the streets home
When I was of age I was prepared
To get only a drop of juice
From the fruits of my labor
To wallow endlessly in poverty and primitivitty
Nevertheless
I am always prepared
Prepared for the worst
You taught me that
To have pessimism in place of faith
To look for ghostly silhouettes on lit walls
To doubt my fortune
Before my birth I was prepared
To be deprived of my right
To go back to my creator
Before I am fully created
When I was born I was prepared
To spend a night in a litter bin
To be raised by hands of a different womb
To call the streets home
When I was of age I was prepared
To get only a drop of juice
From the fruits of my labor
To wallow endlessly in poverty and primitivitty
