Rose In A Vineyard

By Yvonne Waluvengo - February 17, 2013

Petals of scarlet hue
Woe is me, I had no clue
All that fortune tellers tell is true
The red flame is turning blue

Once it shone so bright
It was a braw flame
Now each day it wanes
And I ask myself
Should I relinquish my fleeting glory?
I am a rose
A rose in a vineyard

So there was a glimmer
Of a smile in his eyes
When he saw the tulip bloom
The exact one he had
When he first saw me
