I close my eyes and float
To a world where ecstasy is cavalier
To a dream, my dream, a beautiful lie
In my dream I fly
Into space and reach the moon
Like a butterfly out of its cocoon
With heavenly wings I fly
In my dream I dance
Hypnotized by an angels serenade
On a platform made of stars
With a ballerinas grace I dance
In my dream I play
Outside the ethereal gates of paradise
Skipping along the milky way
With a toddlers spirit I play

DeleteThe piece is great, though I felt it lacked the conclusory aspect.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment Nicko!
DeletePoetry comes with a lot of freedom and therefore it gives poets an ability to come up with unique and new ways of writing. This poem is a dream so I felt I should leave out a conclusive stanza or as you put it a "conclusory aspect" because dreams always leave us with a "what happens next" question. I hope you will be satisfied with the explanation I have given. Welcome again!
